Every Timber Row table is built from solid French oak and made to last. That’s why every table comes with our 10-Year Structural Guarantee, covering defects in our workmanship and construction.
We also provide long-term workshop aftercare should your table ever need some attention in the years ahead.
Our guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.
For 10 years from the original delivery date, we guarantee the structural integrity and workmanship of your Timber Row table under normal domestic indoor use.
This includes:
Where a covered defect occurs, we will repair or replace the affected component as appropriate.
The structural elements of our steel bases are covered for 10 years against manufacturing defects, including failure of structural welds under normal domestic use.
The original powder-coated finish is covered for 2 years against defects in its application, such as abnormal peeling, flaking or bubbling.
Normal wear, scratches, chips, impact damage and corrosion resulting from damage to the coating or unsuitable environmental conditions are not covered.
The original hardwax-oil finish is covered for 2 years against defects in its original application.
This covers faults with the finishing process itself. It does not cover the gradual wearing of the finish through normal use.
Hardwax oil is a maintainable finish. Over time, and depending on use, cleaning and environment, the tabletop may benefit from cleaning, maintenance oil or refinishing. This is normal maintenance of a real timber surface rather than a manufacturing defect.
Every Timber Row tabletop is made from genuine solid timber.
Unlike manufactured materials such as laminate, solid wood naturally absorbs and releases moisture as the environment around it changes. Some movement throughout the seasons and throughout the life of the table is therefore completely normal.

These characteristics alone do not indicate a manufacturing defect.
Our guarantee does, however, cover abnormal or excessive movement where the underlying cause is determined to be a defect in materials, construction or workmanship.
Tables should be kept in a normal, reasonably stable indoor residential environment and should not be repeatedly exposed to excessive moisture, heat or extreme fluctuations in temperature or humidity.
Part of the appeal of a Timber Row table is that every piece of timber is different.
Knots, grain variation, medullary rays, mineral markings, colour variation, natural figuring, small fissures and other naturally occurring characteristics are inherent features of genuine solid oak.
No two boards will be identical, and these natural features are part of the appearance and character of the furniture rather than manufacturing defects.
Natural timber will also gradually mature and change colour as it ages and is exposed to light.

We aim to respond within two working days.
We may ask for additional photographs, measurements or a short video so that our workshop can understand the problem and establish the likely cause.
Where an issue is covered by our guarantee, Timber Row will determine the appropriate remedy depending on the nature of the problem.
This may include:
There will be no charge to the customer for the reasonable costs of putting a valid warranty defect right.
Where an inspection is required, we may arrange for the table or affected component to be inspected before confirming the appropriate remedy.
Our 10-Year Structural Guarantee follows the table rather than just the original owner.
If a Timber Row table is sold or gifted during the guarantee period, the remaining guarantee can be transferred to its new owner provided the original Timber Row order number or other satisfactory proof of purchase can be supplied.
We want to look after our furniture long after it leaves our workshop.
From five years after delivery, Timber Row owners can contact us to arrange a workshop refresh service.
Depending on the condition of the table, this can include:
The refresh service is charged at our current published rate at the time of booking.
Collection and re-delivery can also be arranged and will be quoted according to the size of the table and delivery location.
More substantial restoration, repairs, flattening or corrective work can usually be undertaken by our workshop and will be assessed and quoted separately.
There is no fixed expiry date on our commitment to offer aftercare for Timber Row furniture for as long as we are reasonably able to provide the service.
Solid oak is extremely durable, but a little care will help keep your table looking its best.

Our 10-Year Structural Guarantee provides benefits in addition to your legal rights.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers have statutory rights in relation to goods, including that goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Nothing in this guarantee excludes, restricts or otherwise affects those statutory rights.
