The 4-seater is probably the most underrated size in dining furniture. Most "small" dining tables are flimsy folding things, and most "solid oak" tables jump straight from 6-seater upwards, so there's a real gap in the middle. The Timber Row 4-seater is the same construction as the 8 and 10: two slabs of solid French oak joined edge-to-edge into a 37mm-thick top, finished by hand in Wickford. Just shorter.

The smaller of the two reception rooms in a typical interwar semi is usually the dining room, often 3.5m square or less. A 140cm × 90cm sits between the bay window and the chimney breast with the chairs pulled out. Common to Hornchurch, Wanstead, Crouch Hill, Romford and the Brentwood new-towns.
Modern broken-plan kitchens often have a small dedicated dining zone: a bench seat against a wall and two chairs opposite. A 140cm × 90cm drops in without dominating the open plan. Pair it with a matching bench from the configurator for a banquette feel.
A 4-seater doesn't have to be a stripped-back 4-seater. The 140cm length is fixed, but the width steps from 90cm (standard) up to 120cm (generous), the stain runs from natural oil through chocolate, walnut, black and white-oak, and the legs run from the three standard styles (Box, X-frame, Hairpin) up through six designer options to the signature Spider single-pedestal base.
Width upcharges scale with the timber: 100cm is +£115 over the 90cm baseline; 110cm is +£235; 120cm is +£350. All other options sit on top. (A narrower 80cm top is offered on the 120cm length only.)
