Colours can look very different on a screen, so if you’re unsure which finish to choose, order a sample and see it in your own home.
Each sample is a real offcut of the same solid French Oak we use for our tables, sanded and finished by us using your chosen stain.
Compare it against your flooring, kitchen, chairs or other furniture before deciding.
These aren’t printed colour cards. Each sample is cut from the same French Oak we use to make our tables, then sanded and finished in our workshop using exactly the same hardwax oil.
We normally prepare and post samples from our Wickford workshop within two working days. UK samples are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class free of charge.
Once you’ve chosen your colour, you can build your table online and see your chosen finish with your preferred table size, edge style and base.

Oak is a natural material and the colour of a finish can look quite different depending on the timber, lighting and surroundings.
A sample lets you see the actual finish in your home and compare it directly with your flooring, kitchen or existing furniture.
A small piece of solid French Oak, sanded and finished in the colour you’ve chosen, with the finish name marked on the back.
It’s made using the same timber and finishing products as our tables.
The colour and finish will be representative, but every piece of oak is naturally different. Grain, figuring, knots and natural colour variation will differ from one board to another.
The sample is intended to help you choose the finish rather than show the exact grain of your finished table.
