About The Sapwood

The Sapwood is a fully upholstered dining chair in a textured cream chenille. At 79cm overall it is the lowest-backed chair in our range, sized to tuck cleanly under the table edge and keep sight-lines open in smaller rooms.

The seat and back are foam-padded over a rigid frame. Two chairs are supplied in each box; the legs bolt on in a few minutes per chair.

Why “The Sapwood”?

Sapwood is the pale outer band of the tree — the youngest, lightest-coloured timber. A fitting name for the palest, most compact chair in the range.
